InuYasha: First season Box Set is the complete first season of the anime series InuYasha. It was released in September 2006. The set includes 27 episodes in 5 DVDs with a scene selection sheet. In select copies, there are limited edition bottles with a Sikon Jewel shard.

The Girl Who Overcame Time and the Boy who was just Overcome

Kagome celebrates her 15th birthday until a mysterious centipede demon emerges from an ancient well on her family's property and drags her back through the well to the world of feudal Japan! There Kagome encounters a half-demon, half-human named Inuyasha.

Seekers of the Sacred Jewel

Inuyasha, released from the tree by Kagome, has only one desire: to get his claws on the Jewel of Four Souls and use its powers to become a full demon.

Down the Rabbit hole and Back again

With the Shikon Jewel shattered, each shard has the ability to increase a separate demon's powers. Inuyasha fumes at the thought of having to collect the scattered pieces of the jewel and Kagome, upset, climbs through the Bone Eaters Well and goes home.

Yura of the Demon Hair

Inuyasha jumps into the Bone Eaters Well and convinces a reluctant Kagome to return to feudal Japan and help him find and cut the strand of Yura's hair that controls all the other hairs.

Aristocratic Assasin, Sesshomaru

Sesshomaru, Inuyasha's full demon, evil half brother is after a family inheritance, a powerful sword called the "Tetsusaiga". Meanwhile, Inuyasha is miraculously reunited with his human mother, who supposedly died long before!

Tetsusaiga, the Phantom Sword

Kagome, still unable to move, sees that the reflection of Inuyasha's mother in the water has no face! Seshhomaru is just using the "un-mother" to lure Inuyasha into revealing the secret whereabouts of the Tetsusaiga.

Showdwon: InuYasha VS. Sesshomaru

To everyone's surprise, Kagome, a HUMAN, is the only one able to retrieve the Tetsusaiga from its spellbound resting place! Sesshomaru, intrigued but digusted with the "useless human" Kagome and his half-blood brother Inuyasha, transforms into an enormous, poison-gas spewing dog-demon and lashes out against them.


The Toad who would be Prince

With Sesshomaru temporarily out of the way, Inuyasha and Kagome set off in search of the shards of the Jewel of Four Souls in an attempt to reunite its powers.

Shippo, a mischievous little fox demon tries to steal Kagome and Inuyasha's jewel shards.

Phantom Showdown: Thunder Brothers vs. Tetsusaiga

Inuyasha seeks out the Thunder Brothers to rescue Kagome, and before long Inuyasha is battling against Hiten.

Terror of the Ancient Noh Mask

After her encounter with the Thunder Brothers, Kagome is feeling homesick and ready to leave the chaos-bound medieval time that Inuyasha lives in. So she decides to return home, but upon her arrival, she finds a terrible incident. One of her family temple storehouses is on fire because of a possessed, flesh-eating Noh* mask! Kagome's younger brother, Sota, tries to call Inuyasha for help from inside the Bone Eaters well. But the demonic Noh mask is looming closer…

The Soal Piper & The little soal

Inuyasha spots a ghost, called the Soul Piper, leading the souls of dead children with its tune. When the Soul Piper's eyes are closed, children are on their way to heaven, but should its eyes begin to open, a child is headed for hell. Meanwhile, the ghost of a little girl named Mayu is causing mischief and Kagome, the only one able to see Mayu, must keep the ghost from taking vengeance on her little brother who lived through the fire that killed her. But the Soul Piper's eyes are opening wider…

Mystery of the New Moon
Kagome, Inuyasha, and Shippo rescue a girl whose village is being terrorized by a vicious spider demon. Taking the girl home, they meet her foster father, a priest who has taken care of her since the spider demon killed her family. The priest urges them to stay the night, but Inuyasha looks worried, though no one knows why.

Kikyo's Stolen Ashes

An old woman named Urasue attacks Kaede's village and steals Kikyo's bones. Inuyasha is dreaming about Kikyo and notices the old woman escape. Kaede tells him what happened, but he is reluctant to do anything about it because of his hatred for Kikyo. They finally decide to get Kikyo's bones back, and Kagome begins to wonder about Inuyasha's relationship toward Kikyo.

Return of the Tragic Priestess, Kikyo!

After defeating the clay warriors that Urasue pitted against them, Kaede realizes what her plot is and why she's taken Kikyo's bones along with Kagome. Meanwhile, Urasue has placed Kagome in a cauldron of herbs that will pull her soul out and allow the new body of Kikyo to absorb it and be resurrected. Inuyasha and Shippo arrive in time to see Kagome's soul leave her body.

Disc 4

Mystical Hand of the Amorous Monk, Miroku

After some flirting on Miroku's part it is revealed that Naraku is the one responsible for the void in Miroku's hand and he decides to join up with our party and fight Naraku together.

Cursed Ink of the Hell-Painter

Inuyasha and the others come across a battlefield, but he doesn't smell any blood, only ink. Upon further investigation they discover an artist who is able to make his drawings of demons come to life and attack people.

Naraku and Sesshomaru Join Forces

Sesshomaru returns with a demon's arm replacing the one he lost in his first battle with Inuyasha. Naraku arrives and offers Sesshomaru a new arm- a human arm that will allow him to hold the Tetsusaiga and a Shikon shard to increase his power.


Go Home to Your Own Time, Kagome!

Kagome fires the arrow, but misses Sesshomaru. Inuyasha steps in to protect her while she tries to treat Miroku who was poisoned by the bees.

Despicable Villain! The Mystery of Onigumo!

Kagome returns to her normal routine of going to school and being a typical 21st century teenager while in the past Inuyasha is learning the origin of the evil Naraku.

Naraku's True Identity Unveiled

In the present Kagome decides to go on a date with Hojo, her classmate. She stops by the well one last time before leaving. In the past things are getting rough as Shippo runs away from Royakan's wolves and manages to squeeze past the tree and down to the bottom of the well.

Disc 5

A Wicked Smile; Kikyo's Wandering Soul

The gang is spending the night in a small village guarding a diseased girl's soul from soul stealing demons that have been seen in the area. In another small town it appears that Kikyo has survived her fall and is trying to start a new life. One of the local priests, Seikai, senses something is different about her and attempts to use a ward on her.

Kagome's Voice and Kikyo's Kiss

Inuyasha searches the riverbank for any signs of Kikyo and finds her ribbon. Kagome is magically bound by Kikyo and tries her best to tell her how Naraku was the one that actually killed her and not Inuyasha. Kikyo no longer cares and just wishes to be reunited with Inuyasha in death rather than life.

Enter Sango, the Demon Slayer

After fighting a large spider demon, Kohaku seems to lose control and begins killing his fellow Slayers.

Naraku's Insidious Plot

Inuyasha and the others investigate the Shikon Cave near the Slayer's Village.

Secret of the Jewel of Four Souls Revealed

Sango pays her respect to her fallen Slayers and then escorts the others to the Shikon Cave to tell them the origins of the Shikon Jewel.

The Lake of the Evil Water God

Inuyasha and the others come across a village with a lot of wreckage, a flood to be exact. A boy gets the gang to help the villagers, and later is proven to be the headmaster's real son. They go to the temple of the Water God and fight with him, but he seems invincible. Sango and Miroku, who have been washed out, travel to the mountain where the true God is sealed, who's a shrunken, beautiful female. They return to the temple and finish the battle with the fake Water God.

Rating
It is rated General in Quebec and 14a in Canada and Quebec for language, violence, nudity and dialogue. On the TV airings, the film is rated TV-PG in the USA and PG in Canada.

Languages and Subtitles
The DVDs feature Bilingual language track of Japanese and English as well as translated subtitles and subtitling for the hearing impaired.
