Jay Solomon

Born in Toronto in 1982, Jay Solomon first gained notoriety for his work on schoolyard bullying. At the age of seventeen, Solomon began speaking out against bullying. Always willing to speak his mind, Solomon is regularly interviewed by various local and national media,. His initiatives have received critical acclaim and have been featured by countless media outlets, including: CityTV , CFTO/CTV, VRLand, Canadian Living Television, TVOntario, CFRB 1010, Rogers Cable, KISS 92FM, CTS/PAX, The Canadian Jewish News, the Toronto Star, and the Town Crier. Solomon has worked with such organizations as the Canadian Initiative for the Prevention of Bullying, where he served as Youth Coordinator for three years. Solomon is also a freelance writer who has published articles in pop-culture, as well as scholary publications.

From 2004-2006, Solomon ran an online magazine called Right2Express, which gave young writers an opportunity to have their written work published. Right2Express gained a dedicated following of young writers.

During 2006, Solomon guest-hosted Swap Shop on Rogers Television.

Solomon is a regular contributor to Dolce Vita magazine, where he interviews luxury watch industry Executives.

Political involvement

Solomon has served as a Senator of York University, the Vice President External of the Canadian Federation of Jewish Students, and on the Board of Directors of Hillel GTA.
