Javier Gomez Durand

Javier Antonio Gomez Durand (born c. 1980) is a Puerto Rican engineer, entrepreneur, technical writer and Microsoft MVP.

In 2004, he was awarded Most Valuable Professonal by Microsoft in the category of Small Business Server , and has been reawared every subsequent year. He was also one of the authors of Small Business Server Unleashed by SAMS and a technical editor for many other computer-related books.

In 2006 he was named one of the Top 5 Rising Business Stars by the Caribbean Business maganize . Recently, he was highlighted by Neymar Maldonado on Technomundo Radio Show (Univision Radio) due to his involment in technological initiatives for small businesses in the island.

He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico (Mayaguez Campus) and a Master of Science degree from the University of Delaware. Currently living in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, where he is a partner in a major industrial supply chain. In addtion as a licensed engineer , he has overseen many development projects across the island.
