Javaid Rahi (born Chandak, Poonch, September 1, 1970) is an Indian scholar of literature, history, culture, and languages.He is an expert on Gujjar /Tribal Affairs of J&K State and as of 2018 had authored, edited and compiled more than three hundred books in the Gujari/Gojri language about Gurjar history, culture, languages, and literature. His YouTube show, Mahari Awaz is spoken in Gujari and is aimed at Jammu & Kashmir audiences. Career In 2004 Rahi was appointed as head of the Gujari wing of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages where he compiled the first-ever Gujari dictionary, containing around 70,000 words. This was the fourth dictionary project compiled under his supervision. He compiled the first-ever Gujari language encyclopaedia. In September 2009, he was appointed first chief editor of Gujari in the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. Rahi served as national secretary of the Tribal Research and Cultural Foundation. He worked as a convenor of the Gujari language in the .
