Jason Thomas Scott

Jason Thomas Scott (born May 22, 1976) is an American film director, screenwriter, and television producer.
Early life
Scott was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 22, 1976. He is the brother of actor Ethan Zachery Scott. He studied communications, journalism and mass media law at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Television
In 1994, Scott formed JTS Studios, a production company. JTS Studios produced a late night talk show on The WB affiliate KSLO. One notable guest of the series was Jack LaLanne in the spring of 1995.
In 2008, Scott moved from Austin, Texas to Los Angeles, California, and started as a field production assistant for CBS on the Sunset Gower lot. Later that year, Scott worked as a producer on the ABC series Here Come the Newlyweds. While working for Intuitive Entertainment, Scott worked in production of Millionaire Matchmaker presented by Patti Stanger on Bravo.
From 2010 to 2012, Scott worked as a producer on Pit Boss on Animal Planet. Some controversy arose during the production of Pit Boss after Denver councilman Charlie Brown declined to appear on the series to discuss his opposition to overturning an ordinance that banned the ownership of pit bulls within the city. Following his decision, Brown received threatening emails. This occurred immediately following the 2011 Tucson shooting which targeted U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords. Citing the Tucson attack, the councilman was quoted in an email to Scott stating that security reasons were behind the decision to cancel the interview.
Film

Scott wrote, produced and directed the feature film Tympanum in 2012. A self-financed science fiction drama starring Dave Tenenbaum, Nicol Zanzarella and Bobbie Prewitt, the film was screened privately for cast and crew at The Downtown Independent in Los Angeles on June 30, 2012 and submitted to the 2013 Slamdance Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival.
