Jamie Radtke

Jamie Radtke (born April 18, 1973) is an American activist and political candidate.
Personal background
Radtke is a resident of Chesterfield County, Virginia. She graduated from Liberty University in 1995 and was awarded a Master of Public Policy from The College of William & Mary in 1998.
Radtke's father was an F-4 fighter pilot in the United States Air Force who served in the Kalkar Air Base in West Germany during the Cold War. In 1999, she married John Radtke, and she homeschools her three children. The family attends a Baptist church.
Radtke also credits Beverly LaHaye of Concerned Women for America as an inspiration. LaHaye spoke at chapel while Radtke was attending Liberty University, calling her "the first female I had ever heard speak who was involved in the political arena that was making a difference."
Political Training
Prior to graduate school, Radtke worked briefly as a receptionist for then-Gov. Allen, occasionally babysitting for him and his wife, Susan, in the evenings. Radtke also served as an intern for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, after which she was hired on full time.
In 2004 she went to work for Virginia Conservative Action PAC as Political and Grassroots Director, where she said she focused on challenging Republicans who had strayed away from conservative principles. She started her own consulting firm in 2007, where she ran local campaigns.
Senate candidacy
On December 28, 2010, Radtke filed notice of candidacy in the 2012 Senate race in Virginia. She was an organizer of the Tea Party rally in Richmond, Virginia which drew an estimated 2,800 participants.
