Jamie Fullerton (born July 13, 1983) is a journalist, and assistant news editor for UK music magazine NME. He is best known for reporting on Babyshambles artist Peter Doherty.
Doherty's release from prison On 6 May, 2008, Peter Doherty was released from prison after his sentence was cut in half and a further 18 days removed due to a government plan to reduce overcrowding. On exiting the prison, Doherty realised he had no lift, and accepted the offer of a ride from Fullerton, and NME photographer James Quinton. "His lift wasn't there - so he asked if he could have a lift with anyone," said Fullerton, "and I've interviewed Pete a couple of times at gigs."
The resulting interview, taken from the back seat of Quinton's Renault Clio became an NME coverstory and made world news.
Trivia Jamie Fullerton is a DJ and occasionally plays at Club NME gigs.
