Jamie Bramley

Jamie Bramley (born Stockport, 1983) is a Crown Green Bowler who pioneered Internet Radio for the Crown Green Bowling community. The shows began in 2006 with fellow bowler Mark Mills.
Career
Bramley started bowling at a very young age (around 4 years old) and became the youngest ever bowler to represent a county side in 1990 playing for Cheshire against East Midlands aged just 7. Bramley has won several top honours including three junior Vernon titles as a youngster back to back; the only player ever to do so.
In 1998 Bramley joined the Nursery where he quickly rose through the ranks from 4th team to 1st team in the space of 2 years. After leaving the Nursery, Bramley had a brief spell with Crown Hotel before joing LMRCA where he helped guide them to promotion and a first ever Adshead shield.
Bramley grew up at South Reddish Park and spent many years with them in the Parks league where he won a league title. After winning every division of the CG league and the cup four times Bramley left South Reddish for Love Lane. Since joining Love Lane Bramley has become Captain, guiding them to promotion, a highest ever top flight finish, and an 8 aside cup win in 2009. Top bolwers such as Neil Jenkinson, Peter Smith and Andy Mcguigan have all played under Bramley signalling his respect in the top ranks. Bramley then took over the Cheshire Parks secretary and helped organize them into a decent county parks side who gained promotion from the bottom group for the first time in 25 years. Bramley has played over 50 times for Cheshire so far and has won around 33 county matches, an amazing record for such a small county.
In 2007 Bramley won his first major sweep taking the Denton Open in appalling weather at Riverside BC, winning the final 21-0 against Steve Foster. Bramley has also won several league titles with Debdale Park and trophies and also played for the Red Lion. A notable fact is that Bramley has won three competitions at Ladybridge who he played for in the CG league and has never lost a competitive game on the green. After helping lift the profile of LMRCA in his three years there, it was reported that Bramley is set to sign for top side Houldsworth WMC for 2010 season. Bramley finished runner up in his own brother's memorial trophy three years running before taking it in its last year 1999 to his own personal delight. Bramley capped off an amazing 2009 by winning the Workshops League Cup, and averages. It is estimated Bramley has won over 40 league cup and personal prizes since he began bowling, an amazing record. In recent years he has taken his hand to journalism writing for the Stockport Express. One other fact is that Bramley has failed to progress past the first rounds of the Waterloo Championships. On seven visits he has been beaten by the minimum 20-21 scoreline now known locally as the Bramley curse.
