James Howarth

James Howarth (born 28 July 1973) is an Australian actor. He has been on camera and in production for over two decades. He is best known for taking on multiple roles during film production as in his film Alien Inhabitant. Howarth gained praise for his feature film "Alien Inhabitant" in 2011 where he played the lead role Mark Jacobs. He was nominated for the Best New Director, Best Director, Best Gorilla Filmmaker and Best Special Effects and was 2nd place for Best New Director and Best Director at the Action On Film Film Festival 2011. He won 1st place for Best Film at the Northern California Film Festival 2011. In interviews James Howarth has been an advocate for low budget filmmaking emphasizing a focus on talent not budgets, utilizing the bare technical requirements. He graduated from North Sydney Institute in Film and Television Production and Directing. Since “Alien Inhabitant” he has been in “Living Dead”, “Gone Too Far” and “The Movie Machine” a film about a modern audience seeing the classic movie Plan 9 from outer space by Edward Wood. He was previously in “The Losers”, “Monster”, “ Abandoned Ghost” and “Private Practice” the abc drama series.
