Jaki Jo (Jaki Jo Hannan) is an Australian illustrator born on November 22, 1984. Her 'Self Portrait' illustrations won first prize at the 2008 'D&AD Student Awards' in London. This work was also featured in the 'D&AD New Blood Design 2008' exhibition and annual book. She has also given a presentation at a design based 'Pecha Kucha' night in London. Jaki Jo's illustrations play with notions of reality, taboo's, black comedy and surrealism, examples of this can be seen on Jaki Jo has worked with The Guardian, Ampersand Magazine, British Council, D&AD, The Drawbridge newspaper, Swot TV, The Big Issue Magazine, Who's Jack Magazine, DJ Yousef and so on. Her grand father was a famous Australian TV presenter Jimmy Hannan. Her mother is TV presenter and pageant winner Melissa Hannan.
