Jake El Mir (born July 13, 2001) is a young entrepreneur, designer, and programmer. At 12 years old he was the youngest app developer in the Arab World and one of the youngest app developers worldwide. He currently has three apps on Apple's App Store as of 5 June 2016. In June 2015, He won the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2015 Scholarship Award. He is also the winner of the Dubai Youth Innovation and Creativity Award. He is also the founder and CEO of Driple. Career In April 2012 at 11 years old El Mir started creating apps, while still in school. He released his first App “Emoji Escape” on the App Store at 12 years old. He appeared on several TV channels and many radio stations as well as articles. He also got a Letter of recognition from former Culture Minister of Lebanon. He also released another game “Emoji Go” when he was 12 years old. At 13 years old Jake was 1 of 350 students developers Worldwide, to have been awarded a scholarship to attend The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2015 he is also the youngest Arab App Developer to have been awarded a WWDC Scholership. At 14 years old he released NoSpeed to the App Store. NoSpeed is an app that warn the user if he go beyond the speed limit. El Mir said that the main reason of creating the App is to help solve the problem of speeding and try to decrease car accidents because every day about 3,287 people die because of car accidents. After the release of NoSpeed he appeared on several TV channels. NoSpeed got a 5 stars review on the Lebanese App Store and reached the Top 1 spot in the Top Charts in Lebanon for more than two week also YASA For Road Safety shared an interview about the App and the video got about 500K Views. El Mir won the "Golden Award" for his app "NoSpeed" and received a Certificate of Excellence in the 14th Pan Arab Excellence Award that select the Best Apps in the Arab World and took place in Dubai.
