Jackson Dinky DK3

The DK3 is a rare and short lived version of Jackson Guitars' popular Jackson Dinky, released in 2000 and discontinued the same year. It was originally released to compete with Ibanez guitars which offered the H/S/H pickup configureation, but after its popularity began to interfere with Jackson Soloist's sales, the model was quickly abandoned. Although the Dinky line was originally a consumer-level version of the Soloist, Jackson released exactly 300 copies of the DK3 (hence the "3" in the name) for the list price of $949.00 which was $50 more than the DK2 (Source: Guitar Player Magazine 2000 Price Guide). No other Jackson guitar has used the combination of H/S/H pickup configuration coupled with the Shark Fin Inlays.
Note: a source is needed about the 300 limited releases; it was only in production for a single year so it is a much rarer version of the Dinky however the number is not known, nor is the source of the name DK3.
