Ivan Rudyi

Ivan Rudyi (born March 11, 1988, Kyiv) is a Ukrainian statesman and politician, veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Chairman of the Ukrainian Commission on Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries. Captain of the national Invictus Games team.
Biography
He worked as a manager of TV projects (at STB TV channel, StarLight Entertainment). He was the Deputy Head of the Minister's Patronage Service at the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs of Ukraine.
Russian-Ukrainian war
With the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war in eastern Ukraine, he joined the army and became a platoon commander. In August 2014, Rudyi was seriously wounded. Rudyi was the secretary of the Advisory Council for War Veterans, Families of Fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
Sport
After the hospital he spent several years in rehabilitation. Afterwards he took part in the competitions of veterans of the Invictus Games in cycling and powerlifting. He later became captain of the Ukrainian national Invictus Games team at 2020-2022 season.
Gambling Commission
Since October 22, 2020, he has been the Chairman of the Ukrainian Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (UGLC), which deals with legalization, licensing and regulation of the gambling market in Ukraine. Olena Vodolazhko, Yevhen Hetman, Oleksiy Botezat, Khrystyna Dutka-Gefko and Tetiana Kiriyenko became members of the commission.
