iSupport is a web-based IT help desk and customer service management software application that allows support organizations to coordinate, manage, and track support activities from any HTML5 browser including mobile and tablet devices. The software is developed and supported by iSupport Software, based in Vancouver, Washington, US. iSupport Software was founded as GWI Software by Daren Nelson in 1992. In 2011 the company changed its name from to iSupport Software iSupport is credited with releasing the first browser-based IT help desk software in 1997. History In 1994 iSupport Software (then GWI Software) released a product called Help! for Lotus Notes. Building on the collaborative features of Lotus Notes, Help! was a critical and commercial success. InfoWorld named Help! for Lotus Notes an IT Help Desk Test Center winner May 25, 1998, beating out both HEAT and Remedy Action Request System. Later that year InfoWorld named Lotus Notes a Product of the Year, citing its review of Help! for Lotus Notes as one of the deciding factors in its choice. In early 2000 Help! for Lotus Notes was ported to .Net and Help! for Microsoft SQL was released. Help! was later re branded c.Support (the c standing for collaborative) and in 2010 the product and company were again re branded as iSupport Software.
