Islamismophobia is a fear or distrust of radical Islam and it's effects on the modern world. It is not to be confused with Islamophobia. Islamismophobes are concerned that Islamism represents a direct threat to freedom of expression, the rights of women, and a growing antipathy towards other religions and the western world in particular. The term was maybe coined by Martin Amis in an article in The Independent when asked if he was an Islamophobe: "What I am is an Islamismophobe. Or better say an anti-Islamist because a phobia is an irrational fear, and there is nothing irrational about fearing someone who professedly wants to kill you."
