Iskander Galiev

Iskander Islamgalievich Galiev - was born on August 28, 1969 in the town of Nizhnekamsk, Tatar ASSR. From 1987 to 1989, he served as part of the 345th separate airborne regiment of the Airborne Troops of the Soviet Armed Forces in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. He was awarded the medal "For Courage". In 2000, he graduated from the Institute of Modern Business in Moscow; in 2009, he graduated from the post-graduate studies of the Russian Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation. I. I. Galiyev got the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.
Since 2005, he has been the Deputy General Director of Vnukovo International Airport, OJSC, a member of the Board of Directors of Refueling Complex, CJSC and Vnukovo-Invest, OJSC.
Galiyev is known as the author of idea of creation of the multifunctional complex AEROPOLIS at the Vnukovo International Airport. The complex will include an international congress and exhibition center and the center of technical sports TECHNOLAND. In 2013, Vnukovo International Airport, with the support of the Department for the Development of New Territories of Moscow, launched works on this object designing.
Galiyev is the Vice President of the Inter-regional public organization Union of Afghan War Veterans AFGHANVET. He is a member of the Board of the Russian Union of Afghan Veterans; the member of the Executive Committee of the All-Russian public organization “Battle Brotherhood”.
Galiyev is the scriptwriter and the general producer of the documentary “The 345th Regiment”, the author of idea, the line producer and a military advisor of the feature film “The 9th Company”, the associate producer of the film "Paragraph 78", the author of idea, the scriptwriter and the general producer of the feature film "The Way." He is the author of idea and the general producer of the film “Battle Brotherhood”, the first in the history of Russian-American documentary, about the war in Afghanistan, which is in production and scheduled for release in 2013.
