Ishtiaq Baig

Mirza Ishtiaq Baig is a Pakistani businessman. He is Vice Chairman of the Baig Group of companies a multinational conglomerate engaged in diversified industrial and commercial activities operating in Pakistan, U.A.E. and Morocco.
Personal life
He is the older brother of media celebrity; Afreen Baig, and the younger brother to Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, famous business tycoon and political figure. He was married to singer Nazia Hassan but they divorced before ten days of her death. They also have a child Arez.
Ishtiaq Baig is well known name in Pakistan. He regularly appears on different television channels for his views on national and international issues.
Career
Ishtiaq Baig was appointed Hon. Consul General of Kingdom of Morocco, by President of Pakistan on the commission of Moroccan government for the consular jurisdiction over the province of Sindh. He has been the recipient of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry Best Export Trophy Awards from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan for nine consecutive years on export of textiles. He is also the chairman of the Pakistan Morocco Business Council and the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Social activities
Ishtiaq Baig is actively engaged in social welfare work in Pakistan. He is the Founding President of Make-A-Wish Foundation Pakistan, an affiliate member of Make-A-Wish Foundation Int’l USA, the largest wish granting organization in the world serving 47 countries in five continents. Due to his untiring efforts, Make-A-Wish Foundation was introduced in Pakistan. The Foundation is engaged in granting the cherished wishes of children suffering from life threatening illnesses.
