Ishfaq Ahmed Mughal is a senior journalist, S/O Mehmood Ahmed Mughal Village Katasery P/O Khuiratta District Kotli Azad Jammu Kashmir Pakistan. He is elder son of his parents and has two brothers. Early life Ishfaq Ahmed Mughal was born in 3 April 1978 in Khoiratta District Kotli Azad Jammu Kashmir. By religion he is Muslim and belongs to the Mughal family. He got his primary education in his village Katasery, after that he was a student of Govt High School Khuiratta and got SSC in 1995 and passed FA from Govt Degree College Khuiratta in 1997. After that he shifted to Mirpur Azad Kashmir and took admission in BA in Govt College Mirpur and passed BA in 2000. During his academic career he took part in student politics. He was known as a student leader and an activist of Islami Jamiat Talaba (Islamic Organization of Students)Mirpur Azad Kashmir. Due to his personal interest in Journalism, the organization had appointed him as Muhtamid Nashr-o-ashaat (Information secretary). He attended two media workshops in the Central headquarters of Islami Jamiat Talaba in 1998 and 2000. He participated in a competition of making press releases and taking note of Program at the platform of Islami Jamiat Talaba Pakistan in Lahore and won the competition and got First Prize in 2000. This competition was among information secretaries of Islami Jamiat Talba. This competition was held after a two day media workshop. Career Ishfaq Ahmed Mughal started his career in September 2001 as a Computer inspector in Govt. Pilot High School No. 2 and after that in March 2002 He joined Jinnah Scientific Public School Khuiratta District Kotli. After a two year career of teaching, he shifted to Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan and joined South Asian News Agency (SANA News) as a trainee Sub Editor in July 2003. He was promoted to Sub Editor in December 2003 and after that he was promoted to News Editor in January 2006. Due to his personal interest in reporting, he shifted from the News Room to reporting section and appointed as an Economic Reporter in November 2006, which was carried on until now. He is member of Rawalpindi/Islamabad Union of Journalists and Kashmir Journalist Forum.
