Irish Democratic Party

The Irish Democratic Party (), commonly known as the Irish Democrats, is a small centrist political group in Ireland. A major objective of the Irish Democrats is to establish a 'democratic, accountable and verifiable republic'<ref name="article-tribune"/> in Ireland through significant political reform.<ref name="website"/> <ref name="interview-highland" /> <ref name="interview-lmfm" />.
Their first public meeting was held in November 2010 <ref name="meeting" />. In December 2010 Irish Democratic Party and the Irish Liberal Party, another recently formed political group, joined together to form a single political entity <ref name="merger" />.
