Interpersonal Wellness - Definition The term Interpersonal Wellness was introduced by Joyce Odidison, a Conflict Analyst and Strategist, back in 2002, when she was searching for a way to describe to clients in conflict what she would like them to imagine. Joyce defined Interpersonal Wellness as the art of creating harmony in interpersonal relationships, the ability to interact with others and lend yourself to co-creating empowering, dynamics and dialogues and practice responsible communication in one’s interpersonal relationships. To maintain one’s own life balance and wellness in all eight life dimensions to have the focus, energy and tolerance needed to engage with others well and be able to manage one’s personal personal relationship with self, and one’s interpersonal relationships with others. Some things associated with Interpersonal Wellness is the practice of Responsible Communication (RC) which is to foster understanding and the ability to appreciate and participate in dynamic empowering dialogues and exchanges that have a positive impact on the well being of others by showing respect, courtesy, empathy, compassion, interpersonal intelligence and collaboration.
