International Handbook of Universities

The International Handbook of Universities (IHU) is a membership-led non-governmental organization working in the field of higher education. It comprises more than in some 195 countries and territories. IHU is an official partner of UNESCO. IHU is based in Tortola and is located at the headquarters of UNESCO Centre for Central and South America.
History
IHU was created under the auspices of UNESCO Centre on 9 December 1950 during the International Conference of Universities in Nice. Its goal was and remains to estabish cooperation among institutions of higher education around the world.
