Inlight

InLight is an unsigned four-piece indie/rock band from Oxford, England consisting of frontman Charlie Cooke, lead guitarist Mike Riddle, bassist Johnny Hunter and drummer Pete Lawless. Their name is partly derived from Riddle's synesthesia. In January 2008 it was announced that the band's music was to be featured in the 2008 film adaptation of Philip Pullman's The Butterfly Tattoo, with the song Bridges also to be used in the official trailer for the movie. InLight attended the preview screening of The Butterfly Tattoo at BAFTA in London on May 9th. The film will be released in the United States on April 17th, 2009. After a support slot for The Envy Corps in early May 2008, the band played a sold out "grand showcase", 'Space', at the Keble O'Reilly Theatre in Oxford, "as a response to growing interest in the band from the music industry and general public alike".. 2009 has brought support slots for Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Baskery and The Boxer Rebellion, with a review from the latter show describing InLight as "probably the best unsigned indie music act in the UK today".
