What is indt2.sys?
Indt2.sys appears to be a malware file that results in web pages being downloaded behind the scenes without your knowledge. The symptoms of this include clicking sounds that internet explorer makes when accessing pages being heard at random without explorer being open, and occasional bursts of random sounds as pages are accessed have sounds attached. This file also seems to be related to the file ndt2.sys.
How can I tell if I have it?
If you are experiencing some of the symptoms shown above you can open the task manager and click on the processes tab. Order the processes by image name by clicking on the 'Image Name' header and check to see if the file indt2.sys is one of the processes.
How do I get rid of it?
Killing the task in task manager results in the task just being restarted again. The safest way to get rid of it is to start your computer in safe mode with command prompt (F8 key on reboot) and then delete both files from the \windows\system directory. After rebooting your should be clean and the random sounds should stop.
