[]http://www.london.gov.uk/stpatricksday/festival/trafalgar-sq.jsp Bypin was a song entered by Niall Quinn into the midlands 103 song contest in 2002 and came 3rd place.The song was also on the "Best of Local" album from the same year. The song soon gained cult following among listeners and the word Bypin soon came to be known as a slang word for hot women. The songs greatest achievement was when in March 2008 Quinn was approached by some St Patrick Day revellers to perform the song at the Trafalgar Square St Patricks Day celebrations. Quinn took to the stage in between Luka Bloom and Roisin Murphy to do an al capello version of the song to the delight and equal amazement of the crowd. Quinn has since given up on his own singing career to perform stand up in and around Dublin. |
