Indonesia Ice Hockey Association

The Indonesia Ice Hockey Association is the governing body of ice hockey in Indonesia.
History
Ice hockey is not so popular in Indonesia, until the Indonesia Ice Hockey Association founded in 2012. the association is trying to take flight, as the association is not recognized in its own country. They have been waiting on the paperwork from the government. Bureaucracy is very complicated in a country, but the association press forward by sending there ice hockey players routinely to international competitions so they can get recognized by the government. Indonesia's first ice hockey rink, Sky Rink Jakarta.
The association has sent their players to tournaments like the Malaysia International Ice Hockey Tournament, the Singapore Invitational Ice Hockey Tournament, and the Land of Smiles Ice Hockey Classic in Thailand.
The association in November had the Indonesia National Ice Hockey Tournament with 7 teams, Jakarta Thunders, Garuda Warriors, Batavia Demons, Jakarta Tigers, Bandung Tigers, Wild Panthers and Jakarta Blues.
The association would like to join the IIHF and play in some international tournaments like the Challenge Cup of Asia and maybe even the World Championships.
