Indiana Commerce Connector

The Indiana Commerce Connector was a proposed toll road in Indiana as a partial outer beltway south east of Indianapolis. The proposed road segment would have connected 4 Interstates at 6 locations.
Proposed as a privately-built toll road, it would have extend southward from Pendleton I-69, through Greenfield at I-70, Shelbyville at I-74, Franklin at I-65, Martinsville at SR 37 proposed to become I-69, the southern terminus would have been I-70 near Mooresville.
The plan was announced by Governor Mitch Daniels, after opposition to tolls on the new-terrain I-69 extension in southern Indiana quashed the plan for a Southern Indiana Toll Road. The ICC plan was opposed by many citizens along the route, and groups such as Citizens for Appropriate Rural Roads and Concerned Citizens of Johnson County.
