iMotorbike is a Malaysian classified advertisement website that focused on motorcycles products founded by Gil Carmo, Pedro Granja and Miguel Enes in 2016.
History
The website was founded in October 2016 by entrepreneurs Gil Carmo, Pedro Granja and Miguel Enes, who were previous contributors and managers to companies such as Rocket Internet, Lazada, Bamilo and Shopback.
A beta version of an in-house classified ads platform was soon developed and launched on January 1, 2017. By July of the same year, iMotorbike also launched its mobile platform.
Features
iMotorbike focuses on classified ads on selling motorbikes, parts and accessories. iMotorbike sells a range of motorcycle products and accessories, as well as other services such as motorcycle insurance and financing plans. The news portal iMotorbike News covers topics on the motorcycle industry and community.
A version 2.0 of the classified ads platform was soon launched that included UI/UX enhancement, Elasticsearch, AI integration, CRM system for dealerships, Data Processing and others which made listing and searching motorcycle products easier. The new features allows dealers and customers to make deals through the platform. iMotorbike has passed 280,000 advertisements live to date and works closely with more than 2300 motorcycle dealerships already subscribed to iMotorbike. In October 2018, iMotorbike and its founder Gil Carmo was featured in a TEDx event at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, with a speech on the future of electric motorbikes in Southeast Asia. Elvina Taher of Tech In Asia listed iMotorbike in her "10 Sales and Business Development Jobs" in 2017.
