Ilmoamal is a welfare association registered in Karachi, Pakistan. Its main objective is to help poor families escape poverty. Its programs consists of family help for food, rent and medicines, school scholarships for children and giving income opportunities to start small business like kiosks, carts or home based initiatives. Ilmoamal's operations are based on the concept of virtual office. Its management committee members and decision makers, program coordinators, field volunteers and other related members all operate from their homes through a web based application called Beneficiary Management System. This approach is adopted to eliminate costs related to maintaining an office and commuting. Beneficiary Management System (BMS) is an application which is rich in content and keeps track of every application for a poor person with their pictures, reviews, analysis of their family needs, discussions and comments. |
