IKAN is a software company based in Belgium, Europe which makes ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) software and ETL (Extract, transform, load) software. History IKAN’s company history goes back to the late eighties when IKAN started as a distributor for US-based software companies. Over the years IKAN represented, among others, the following companies: Bachman Information Systems (data modeling, IBM AD/Cycle partner), Carleton Corp (IBM Information Warehouse partner for Data Extraction), Serena Software (mainframe ALM). Beside representing these companies, IKAN also developed add-ons for these products, such as: *A link between the Bachman products and the IBM mainframe repository *An ALM solution for IBM CSP and CA IDMS for Change Man of Serena *a GUI for the Carleton mainframe product Later, IKAN started developing complete software products. In 2008, CWD4ALL a data modeling product developed by IKAN was sold to the Oracle Corporation. CWD4ALL is now fully owned and marketed by Oracle under the name “Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler” as a part of the Oracle SQL Developer IDE.
