Igor Litvak

Igor Borisovich Litvak is an American criminal defense attorney and Counselor at Law.
Education and career
He is a graduate in Business Administration (BBA) from Baruch University, Zicklin School of Business, located in Manhattan, New York. He obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Rutgers School of Law, Newark NJ. He also has an LLM degree in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law.
Litvak started his own law firm, The Litvak Law Firm in 2013.
Litvak represented Dmitriy Smilianets in the cybercrime case prosecuted in the United States. The defendant was charged with hacking and selling of 160 million debit and credit cards.
Litvak was the attorney for Roman Seleznev, son of Russian Parliament member’s whose extradition from the Maldives to Guam by US secret service deteriorated the ties between the US and Russia. Litvak campaigned to let Seleznev serve the rest of his prison sentence in Russia due to his alleged mistreatment in US prisons and poor state of health.
He was an attorney for Peter Levashov, who was allegedly one of the world’s most notorious spammers and botnet operators. He was alleged to have operated Kelihos botnet for email spamming, installing malicious programs on host computers, and stealing the login credentials of the users around the world. Levashov pled guilty to charges of operating a botnet.
