Ian Court

Ian Court (born October 30, 1979 in County Durham) is a British auto racing driver living in Chorley.
Racing career
Ian started out racing in karting before he was even a teenager. However his passion for the sport grew larger when his father's company sponsored a leading world sportscar team. On reaching the age of 17 he decided it was time for the move up from karting to cars and set about fulfilling his dream. Opportunities came thanks to his karting pedigree and after a number of successful test drives he received offers from many teams but Ian was struggling to finance his racing. This saw him lose a lot of drives to better financed drivers. Ian spent the next few years picking up one off race and test drives and continued to race in karting events all over the country. In 2003 season he decided to enter selected rounds of the Super Coupe Cup in a self funded and self run car. For 2004 Ian was given the chance to race in the Renault Clio Cup, only to have to decline the offer on the eve of the championship due to family illness. Ian has raced in many different series, such as Formula Ford, Zip Formula, Ford Focus Cup, Renault Clio Cup, Rover GTI, Ford Fiestas, Porsches and Legends Car Championship.
