I-ology is a 2008 documentary film written and directed by Woody Woodward, featuring a series of interviews and stories about the feeling of importance that governs the human nature. The original language is English, with versions available in German and French. Synopsis The concept of the documentary derives from the set of notions originated by Woody Woodward as the Law of Importance and the emotional fingerprint. The main theme is the understanding of what dictates the emotional highs and lows, what causes people to feel they way they feel, why do some find strength and confidence, while others encounter frustration and fear. The documentary features a series of interviews with people that went beyond their apparent possibilities (like Dick Hoyt, from Team Hoyt, or Tony Magee, the first person from his family to graduate from high school and college and the first African American to work with NASA in methology), reminding specific turning points in their life and the way these events changed their personal feelings of importance. It also includes discussions with various authors, communication specialists, personal development experts and counselors. The interviewees talk about the desire of each individual to feel important and the primary role of this desire as the factor motivating to strive for overcoming difficulties and for achieving success. What makes someone feel important is different for each person, depending on their life experiences. These feelings of importance are created by mind-shifts and can be further changed by such mind-shifts (as in the featured case of the person known as "Juan Mann", who initiated the Free Hugs Campaign after coming depressed from a trip with no one to greet him at the airport).
