Hybrid squatting

Founded on July 21, 2011, Hybrid Squatting is the act of holding a proper squat position in a random or public place. It is closely related to the growing trend of "planking" but is more difficult due to the balance and fitness level needed to hold a proper squat position. It was first done by Anthony Vennare and a number of members of the Hybrid Athlete and Kettlebell Cardio community. They did not understand why planking was so popular due to the easy nature of just lying down so they decided to take it and make it for the fitness minded community.
Hybrid Squatting has varying levels of difficulty. For example, inserting a hybrid squat into a marathon training run increases the difficulty and complexity of the squat hold.
