Huntington Learning Center is a national chain of franchised and corporate owned learning centers providing personalized tutoring services to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Huntington Learning Center provides tutoring for reading, writing, mathematics, study skills, phonics, vocabulary, test prep, high school entrance exam preparation and SAT/PSAT/ACT preparation. Huntington Learning Center is headquartered in Oradell, New Jersey and operates 400+ learning centers nationwide.

History

In 1977 Dr. Raymond and Eileen Huntington did more than open their first Huntington Learning Center. They started an entire industry.

Tutoring centers for children hadn’t existed up to this point, but Ray and Eileen saw a desperate need. As a teacher, Eileen often came across high school students who couldn’t read. The Huntingtons felt compelled to teach children in a new, more effective way. When they opened their first learning center, their parents thought they were crazy. Why leave good jobs to start your own business? Well, because Ray and Eileen had a vision to make a difference in students’ lives.

That was more than 30 years ago.

Today, thanks to Huntington Learning Center’s phenomenal success in helping students at every level, the company has grown to include hundreds of locations nationwide. Dr. Ray and Eileen still run the company, ensuring Huntington Learning Center always delivers on the couple’s original mission: to give every student the best education possible.
