Hugo Schwyzer

Hugo Schwyzer (born May 22, 1967) is an American blogger, author, speaker, activist, and instructor at Pasadena City College. Schwyzer was also one of the co-organizers of the 2011 SlutWalk in Los Angeles.
Schwyzer has written that in 1998 he attempted to kill his ex-girlfriend and himself during a drug relapse. He has also written of the many times he has had sexual encounters with his students, including a class trip he was charged with chaperoning in which he had sex with four of his students.
Schwyzer is co-founder of the Perfectly Unperfected Project, a body image transformation program aimed at high school students that he resigned from on January 14, 2012. He also served as a director of Healthy is the New Skinny and Natural Models LA, a management agency until January 14, 2012, when the organization "disassociated" itself from him.
Until resigning in late 2011, Schwyzer was a featured columnist and "Sex and Relationships" editor for the Good Men Project Magazine. He also writes the "Genderal Interest" column for Jezebel. He has been profiled by Bitch Magazine. Schwyzer co-authored Beauty, Disrupted: A Memoir, the autobiography of supermodel Carré Otis, published in October 2011 by HarperCollins.
On December 24, 2011, Schwyzer was banned by Feministe, a prominent feminist blog. The ban was triggered by a Schwayzer interview in which he admitted having consensual sex with students and attempting to kill himself and his ex-girlfriend.<ref name=atlantic />
