Howard Yeh

Howard Yeh is the first politician in Taiwan to propose equal rights for all Taiwanese. His proposal was controversial in the setting of the Chinese Communist rebellion in 1949 and produced a public furor. While many people thought he was a hero in sacrificing his high position and fighting for his people, someone obviously thought differently. He was assassinated on September 29, 1952. Today, his relatives are under protection of a secret service because many people are intent on ending the Yeh family line. Their whereabouts are not known.
