The Ruellians is a most ancient pre emiminant and illustrious group of family names in Royal Ancestry. It originated in the 10th century Ad when Ruellan 1 De DOL of Bretagne in France became the first Duke of Normandy, he was also known as Rollo the Norman Viking. His Great, great, great grandson was William the Conqueror who established the royal line in England and later Europe. Ruello Castle as it was known in 1295 AD can be found in Switzerland now named Rolle. Many Ruellians worldwide have become prominent in many respected fields. Some famous Ruellians include Gilles de Ruellan a French aristocrat, Jean Ruel (Ruelle, Ruellious) a French scientist, botanist and doctor to King Francis the 1st of France, Rene Ruello sports soccer magnate, Ruellan Brothers of World War 1 fame, Duchess Marguerite III Guidone de Cossé-Brissac
