Hot Hail Comics is an independent Canadian comic book company operated by the Langlois brothers, Riel, Drue and Myles. The company was formed in 2005 with its first release, a "Protoprize" trade paperback, followed by "Overachiever" (both by Drue Langlois). In July 2007, the company began publishing a web comic, "Thog Infinitron", written by Riel Langlois and illustrated by Dan Woodhouse. As of 2009, the chronicles of the cyborg caveman are at 70+ pages and still going strong. Soon after the creation of Thog, Hot Hail then published a fourth issue to the "Captain Canuck: Unholy War" miniseries ( the first 3 issues having been published under Richard Comely's Comely Comics banner). This issue concluded the masked superhero adventures of RCMP Constable David Semple, but also included a preview of one of Hot Hail's next projects, the animated Superspace webisodes. The preview included the character David Semple, still performing heroic deeds but without any reference to his previous West Coast Captain Canuck persona. In 2008, Myles Langlois made the first webisodes of his Apollo Gauntlet animated series available on the Hot hail website. In 2009, Hot Hail made the first of the Superspace webisodes available on their website. The installments are written by Riel Langlois, illustrated by Drue Langlois, and animated/edited by Myles Langlois.
