Honkey Rap is a form of music performed by punk rock musicians (mostly white), as they search for an alternative to the hardcore scene.
Often confused with rap metal or rap rock, honkey rap is a fusion of electro, crunk, deep house, ska punk, old-school Jamaican ska and mento, and influences from acts such as The Beastie Boys. Often experimental, this form of music changes from day to day. Well known honkey rappers include The Beastie Boys, Transplants, Never Obstruct A Heathen, and some members of La Coka Nostra.
