HomeMatic

HomeMatic is an proprietary home automation system based on secured 868.3Mhz wireless communication and RS485 wired transmission. It was developed by EQ3 (part of ELV) and introduction the market 2005. In the year 2015 1.000.000 components wehre sold.
Architecture
The principle of homematic is the use of a central unit called CCU (CCU1, CCU2, Raspi). This is used to configuration and automation. There is also the possibility to make direct connections between components.
Interface
The configuration can be done via an http web front end. The use of the automation can be done via app on mobile devices.
