Photography equipment can quickly become expensive for the hobbyist user. One especially expensive pieces of equipment is an ND filter. Uses An ND filter is simply a shaded piece of glass that allows the camera lens to stay open longer in bright daylight. This allows photos of water, waterfalls and other scenes to have a soft flowing look to them. Filter The ND filter is useful because it uses a cheap alternative, a welders glass which cost around $6 US. How The glass can be strapped to the camera lens using a rubber band or for point and shoot cameras, a special adapter can be made. |
