Holiday Lettings Ltd trading as holidaylettings.co.uk is an online British company for finding holiday homes to rent. The Company Holidaylettings.co.uk was created in 1999 by entrepreneurs Andy Firth and Ross Elder. In March 2007 Rightmove.co.uk invested a 67% stake in the business, the founders keeping the remaining 33%. In June 2007 it was the busiest holiday rentals website in the UK according to Hitwise. Operations Holidaylettings.co.uk makes money from listing holiday homes to rent on their website. Advertisers pay a fixed fee for a year’s advertising. As of June 2007 private individuals comprise 80% of the listings and property managers 20%. Access is free for holiday makers, who can search, filter and save properties using their private “Shortlist”. They contact the owner directly to make a booking. |
