Hockerill Boarding School

Hockerill Boarding School was a state-funded boarding school based in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, UK between 1980 and 1998. Originally a teacher training college, the school was opened in 1980 after two other schools (Kennylands and Fyfield) merged, and it provided education services to approximately 350 students aged 11 to 16 years. Hockerill become a college in 1998.
Houses
Originally the school had four main houses - Chelmer, Roding, Roxwell and Thames - with School House being reserved for new pupils serving their first year in the school. Later, as the school increased pupil intake, additional houses would be added.
