Hitler bell

The Hitler bell () is a bell dedicated to Adolf Hitler in the Protestant Church of St. Jacob in Herxheim am Berg. The bell bears the inscription "ALL FOR THE FATHERLAND - ADOLF HITLER" ("ALLES FUER'S VATERLAND - ADOLF HITLER") next to a swastika. The local council voted to keep it as memorial. The bell was originally non-clerical, an alarm bell (Polizeiglocke). Other Nazi bells A Nazi inscription has been recently removed by an anonymous person from a bell in Schweringen. The bell became unusable. The local community in Faßberg is divided regarding preservation of a swastika on a bell in St. Michael's Church. Citations |
