The History of Sex Slavery
Many people today could refute and bump heads when discussing the history of slavery and its abolishment. But whay many fail to realize is that slavery was not limited to hard manual labor which slaves faced on a daily basis. Slaves endured being subjected as sex slaves which also exists today. Sex slavery is a form of slavery that combines coerced prostitution and human trafficking. Women and children are the primary victims of this horrific crime. The women and children account for over 800,000 vicims being sold into sex slavery(www.somaly.org/foundation). However, many of these victims are lured, mostly by someone they know, with the promise of jobs, an end to their financial problems, housing, clothing, and food. But falling into the wrong hands may cause the individual to encounter immoral acts against his or her will.
