Hiroki Tsurumoto

Hiroki Tsurumoto (born 1976 in Kyoto, Japan) is a Japanese/Canadian composer of contemporary classical music and electronic music. He is a co-founder of a Toronto-based new music ensemble, (formerly known as Pendulum Ensemble).
Hiroki had compositional studies with Amnon Wolman and Tania Leon at the City University of New York in New York City from 2002 to 2006 as well as Ka Nin Chan and James Rolfe at University of Toronto where he completed his masters degree in Composition in 2008.
Hiroki's works have been performed at concerts, workshops and music festivals such as ISCM World New Music Days, Toronto New Music Festival, and Ostrava Days (Czech Republic). Ensembles he has worked with include (formerly known as Pendulum Ensemble) (Toronto), Aventa Ensemble (Victoria), Continuum Contemporary Music (Toronto), Fluterra (Toronto), Tiresias (Vancouver), Ives Ensemble (Amsterdam), Ensemble Portmanto (Montreal), Canticum Ostrava (Czech Republic), University of Toronto Women's Choir, Link Ensemble New York, Brooklyn Conservatory Guitar Ensemble, Brooklyn Conservatory Orchestra, and others.
