Henry the 9 is a 2009 feature film written, produced and directed by Seumas Next, Mark Wilenkin and Stephan Kern. Background Prince Harry's real name is Henry and, currently third-in-line to the British Throne, he would be crowned “Sovereign Lord, King Henry the Ninth” should anything happen to Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Prince William. Plot Prince Harry survives a staged terrorist attack at Windsor Castle that kills Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Prince William and the British Prime Minister. In a direct challenge to the Pope Harry is crowned King Henry IX at Westminster Cathedral, so uniting the Church of England with Catholic Rome. With the United Kingdom in anarchy Harry imprisons all the British MP's and eliminates his opponents with his favourite Beretta 9mm pistol, so earning him the moniker “Henry the 9”. Furious at the betrayal of his people by corrupt and morally bankrupt politicians, Henry the 9 begins a radical program of “popular initiatives”. His first act is to revoke American Independence and he achieves peace in the Middle East through the return to the Commonwealth of former British Protectorate's Israel, Palestine and Egypt. “Just call me Harry” becomes his popular catchphrase as Britain re-unites the world through the restoration and expansion of the Commonwealth. An avid member of Greenpeace, Harry donates Britain's biggest and most lethal naval vessel “Great Harry” to them and renames it “Rainbow Warrior 4”. Using the 1324 Royale Fishes Act Harry declares all whales to be Commonwealth Ambassadors and declares any attack on a whale “is an attack on the Commonwealth”. In a controversial statement Harry warns the “Karaoke Singers of Hiroshima and Nagasaki” not to eat whale sashimi again and cites a return to Britain's infamous “Gunboat diplomacy”. Harry, like Henry VIII before him, marries his brother's widow, “Catherine of Middleton” and divorces her with his trademark gunshot to the back of the head. As previously suggested by Prince Charles Harry then proposes to marry a girl from every Commonwealth country to produce a “legacy of Ginger heirs”. With the world in chaos the Commonwealth develops a space exploration programme financed by India and Harry and “Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma” lead a team of “Commonauts” on a one-way mission to set up a new colony on Mars. Summary Next dedicated the film to his great-Uncle Henry Norris, beheaded by Henry VIII for his alleged affair with Anne Boleyn. The film is based on Plato's Republic and stars Christopher Green as Prince Harry and Sam Bonner as Newsreader Raphaella Folly. Henry the 9 has been screened once, a preview at the Covent Garden Hotel on June 24, 2009 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's Coronation. Luke Rhinehart, author of The Dice Man, described it as "outrageous original humor". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1727289/ www.henrythe9.com
