HeavensDust

HeavensDust was formed by Shin in 2000 with the idea of taking the soul of Japanese traditional music and combining with a Western, modern sound.
HeavensDust mixes traditional Japanese melody and rhythm with alternative metal, nu metal and hard rock.
History
HeavensDust was formed in 2000 by Shinsaku, Mai and Atushi. Their goal was to create an individual sound that no other band can make. Same year their first album "Darkends" was rated No.1 on MP3.COM's Top Metal Chart, above Deftones, Marilyn Manson and Slipknot. Because of MP3.COM's world wide reach, HeavensDust's popularity grew beyond America and Europe. They were the opening act for many famous bands. In 2003 Ajo joined Bringing Traditional Taiko Drums. They also released Independent album and the Japanese record label "Cloud Nine Records" released the DVD "Tokyo Party Nights 2003". HeavensDust was featured in one of the short films on the DVD and their music was also included on the soundtrack. In 2004, on the highly popular Internet radio station Chronix Aggression Weekly Top 10, HeavensDust ranked No.1 with the song "Cage" and No.3 with the song "Falling to Decay" above Korn and Linkin Park. Same year U-ky, Yuta and Nan-Zan made the final pieces of the puzzle. By including: koto (traditional Japanese harp), shakuhachi (traditional Japanese flute) and wadaiko (traditional Japanese drums). 2005 band released fist Before I Die Single and then the album Higher Than Heaven, Louder Than God under Reverse Records. They toured with one of the most famous Japanese metal bands "Yamaarashi." They were also featured in a few of Japan's highly popular music magazines. During this time, HeavensDust was reviewed by many international music websites. The bands Insolence and Evans Blue also gave high reviews of HeavensDust's 3rd album.
HeavensDust was featured on the soundtrack "DIVIDE" directed by Tujioka Masato. They were also ranked at No.7 on iTunes top 100 bands. The song "Before I Die" aired on MTV Japan, 2007 Heavensdust released Without A Voice album and in 2009 Closure Leading the Way under the Viina Records.
In summer 2009 Heavensdust announced that female vocalist has decided left the band in their website and in near end of 2009 bands line up was announced and included Shin (Vo), Ajo (Japanese Drum), 5hiNo(Gt), and HAL(Ba). In 2010 band announced two more members Okaji and Daisuke Kaminaga and they released new album To All The Thing I've Lost including the song Cry And Fall which is in their Myspace page.
HeavensDust has collaborated with Evans Blue vocalist, Dan Chandler for the upcoming EP, The Sounds Of Hope. The track is entitled "More Than This" and is to be release on July 19, 2011.
In late 2011, HeavensDust contracted with Daruma Label (sub-label of Domo Records) and released a US debut album in 2012.
