Heather Tallchief

Heather Catherine Tallchief (born January 7, 1972 in Buffalo, New York) is an armored car robber who was sentenced to five years in prison on March 30, 2006. She turned herself in to authorities in Las Vegas, Nevada, after hiding from authorities in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, since the commission of the crime in 1993.
Prior to her surrender, she hired prominent Connecticut criminal defense attorney Robert Axelrod, who had represented numerous Americans arrested in Europe. Axelrod, the former Chair of the Criminal Justice Section of the Bar Association, arranged her surrender in September, 2005. Tallchief was facing 40 years in prison under the 10-count criminal information filed by the Las Vegas United States Attorney.
Tallchief claims she was manipulated through sex magic and hypnosis by Roberto Solis into committing this crime. At her sentencing hearing, a psychiatric expert hired by attorney Axelrod testified that these claims were true.
At the time of her surrender, Los Angeles based film producer Robert Aaronson (Two of Us), optioned the life rights to Heather Tallchief's story for the purpose of making a film which is currently in development.<ref name="Times 2"/>
