was Sufi preacher and saint of Chishti Order from South Asia.Hazrat Khawaja Muhammad Akbar Greeb nawaz is considered one of the holiest and pivotal saints of the Punjab region.
Biography
Hazrat Khawaja Muhammad Akbar Greeb nawaz was born in 11 shwaal 1272 Hijri(1852)at Basir Pur in the panjab region of Pakistan.His Father's Name was Sultan-ul_Arfeen Hazrat Khawaja Muhammad Mukeem Basirpuri R.AAfter the death of his father he went to Kashmir,para chinar and the mountain of soak for the purpose of education.Then he went towards Taunsa shreef it was here that he met his murshid(master) Hazrat khawaja shah Allah baksh Taunsvi (another sufi saint).
Hazrat khawaja Muhammad Akbar Greeb nawaz led a simple life.He was a very pious and religious man of impeccable character.He died at the age of 63 in 1335 Hijri.
Shrine
His mazar (shrine) is the pride of Basirpur.The mazar has two doors, namely Noori darwaza and Bahishti darwaza.Bahishti darwaza opens once a year during Urs(fair).
His urs (death anniversary) is celebrated every year on 16,17 of Rajab.
Tasaneef (books)
He wrote many books on the topic of Fika, tasavuf, wazaif-o- amliyaat during his life time.
The name of some books are Samra-tul-Hayat, Tofa-tun-nabi, Tofa-e- Muhammmadi, Yakoot-e-Akbar, Asool-e-Akbar, Saif-e-Akbar, Kaseer-ul-Khair etc.
